Rice ASCE seeks to promote civil and environmental engineering interests on the Rice University campus, expose students to real world engineering, and connect students to alumni and professionals. Throughout the year we invite speakers from industry, visit plants and sites, and organize social events. We have also supported teams in several civil engineering-related competitions, including the Concrete Canoe competition (see tab above) and the Seismic Design Competition of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI).
