About Rice ASCE

Rice ASCE seeks to promote civil and environmental engineering interests at Rice University, expose students to real-world engineering, and connect students to alumni and professionals. Throughout the year we invite speakers from various industries, visit plants and sites, and organize social events. In the past, we have also supported teams in several civil engineering-related competitions, including the Concrete Canoe competition (see tab above) and the Seismic Design Competition of the Earthquake Engineering Research Institute (EERI).

Please check the Rice Engineering and the CEVE (Civil and Environmental Engineering) Department websites if you would like more information about Rice’s academic programs and other student engineering clubs.
